This is how meditating everyday can rewire your brain

Meditation is an act of self-care to attain and preserve the peaceful existence that you desire in your daily life. When done regularly during the early hours of the day, meditation will set the tone for your day.

Did you know that meditation can increase dopamine and serotonin which are pretty important hormones? These are good neurotransmitters in your brain that trigger happy or sad emotions. Lack of dopamine can have significant negative effects on our health and our motivation. Its also understood that low levels of serotonin cause depression.

As we age our metabolism slows down but meditating regularly can help keep that metabolism right up there which in turn helps us to either lose weight.

Meditation strengthens your bodys immune system, decreases pain and inflammation, increases blood flow and slows down your heart rate. Meditation also has the ability to reduce blood pressure and heart rate, which alleviates unnecessary pressure on your heart and arteries.

Everytime we are in a state of fear or worry or anxiety, our heart pumps fast and is greatly overworked. Meditating slows that down hence reduces fatigue and stress of our body.

Meditation increases neuroplasticity. This is the brain's ability to organise itself, adapt to demands and enables you to become more efficient in the learning process
